The Best Lodging & Retreat in Kenai, Alaska

The Best Lodging and Retreat in Kenai, Alaska!

The "Retreat" is centrally located only minutes from the rivers and salt water fishing. There are many favorite fishing spots within a few minutes or walking distance of the lodge. Fishing in crooked creek is allowed beginning August 1st. We have dolly vardens, rainbows (catch and release), and silvers in crooked creek. I have even watched an eagle pull a steelhead out of the creek and eat it on the bank late this fall.  King Salmon spawn in the creek, hence the prohibition on fishing until August 1st.  Sitting on the deck you can hear and see Kings and Silvers making their way up Crooked Creek.  This last year (2009)  we had many many Pinks come up the creek and they are suppose to be even year Salmon.

Alaskan Fireweed against a backdrop of the grandeur of Alaskan mountains!

Our six acres offer many opportunities to discover Alaska wild flowers and plants. Here are our native Lupine. You can even find the Low Bush Cranberry also known as lingon Berry, wild Blue Berry as well as Crow Berry. We have added some hammocks in the trees.

Come enjoy the beauty of Alaska!
